Marriage Rights for Same-Sex Couples
Inaugural Event of the Maurer School of Law LGBT Advisory Board

The future of equality for same-sex couples is being decided in courtrooms, statehouses, and at the ballot box. A panel of experts will provide an update on developments around the country and here at home in Indiana, and will discuss how these events are reshaping the law and our understanding of marriage.

The public is invited to attend the panel discussion on March 4, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. A reception will follow.

Christopher Clark, senior staff attorney in the Midwest Regional Office of Lambda Legal, will discuss the history of the struggle to achieve marriage equality, the importance of recent legal victories in Iowa and California, and the next steps necessary to achieve equal marriage rights for the LGBT community.
