04/18/2010 - 3:00pm 04/18/2010 - 4:30pm Etc/GMT-5 Please Join us April 18, 2010 at the Morgan County Public Library,l 110 S. Jefferson St., in Martinsville from 3:00-4:30pm. We are meeting in the downstairs meeting room. We will be taking photos to show our support for the NOH8 campaign. The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest. For more information about the campaign, please visit their website at http://www.noh8campaign.com/ If you would like to participate in the photo session either by having your personal photo taken or with the group please wear a v-neck white shirt. If you don’t want your picture taken that’s ok too, just join us for the snacks. There will be a Spencer PRIDE Planning Meeting at the same location from 1:30 to 3:00pm prior to the PFLAG meeting. Everyone is welcome to join us. PFLAG’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through support, education and advocacy.
